Analysis: Banks' dependence on short-term financing needs attention

Peter Eavis of The Wall Street Journal says that one issue that became apparent during the global financial crisis was that many banks had become overly dependent on funding assets through short-term market borrowing. However, the issue, which gets to the heart of the crisis, isn't getting the attention it needs.
