How to establish a common definition of "innovation"
Organizations have to create a shared definition of innovation to ensure everyone is on the same page, Jeffrey Phillips writes. Once such a definition is developed, it must be communicated throughout the organization in a clear and consistent manner. "Even when a definition, goal or language is specified, most organizations do a terrible job of communicating their innovation requirements, definitions and rationale," he notes.
