P/C insurers urged to join Florida's home insurance market
Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink encouraged property/casualty insurers at the annual PCI meeting to join the state's home insurance market, which ranks ninth among the world's largest in premium volumes. Sink also discussed her legislative initiatives aimed at improving the state's insurance market, saying she wants to work with insurers "to create a regulatory environment."
