Investors keep asset allocations intact in face of uncertainty
More than half of high-net-worth investors polled by BlackRock are optimistic about the market over the next six months, but not enough to shift their resources into riskier asset classes. The "fiscal cliff" and uncertainty as to how to change asset allocation are the reasons investors will remain in a holding pattern. Dividend-paying equities is one asset class that investors like, with close to one-quarter of those surveyed planning to increase allocations to these stocks.
