The Internal Revenue Service has filed a motion with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia asking it to suspend the injunction it issued Jan. 18 forbidding the IRS from continuing its tax return preparer registration program. The IRS also stated that it intends to file a notice of appeal within 30 days.
