Peet's parent to acquire Caribou Coffee
German holding company Joh. A. Benckiser Group will pay $16 per share or about $324.8 million to acquire Minneapolis-based Caribou Coffee, which has grown to 610 coffee shops and established a presence in 10 international markets since launching in 1992. Earlier this year, Benckiser paid $1 billion for Peet's Coffee & Tea.
