RFA to Host Committee Meeting and Regulatory Inspections Workshop

RFA is coordinating committee and educational forums in conjunction with the June 4 to 7 Fuel Ethanol Workshop in Minneapolis. On June 4, from 12 to 2 p.m. Central time, RFA Counsel will provide a nuts-and-bolts session, "Regulatory Inspections: Effectively Handling Government Inspections of Ethanol Production Facilities," to prepare operational level personnel for regulatory audits. RFA's Technical, Plant & Employee Safety, and Environmental Compliance Committees will hold a subsequent cooperative meeting from 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. Central time. Both sessions will be hosted at the Minneapolis Convention Center as well as via conference call/WebEx. Please be aware these meetings are for RFA members only. Free Ethanol Safety Seminar, May 22, Rockford, Ill.

The RFA, in partnership with CN Railway and Adkins Energy, will be hosting a free Ethanol Safety Seminar in Rockford, Ill., on May 22 at the Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center. There will be a morning session from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and an evening session from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. This course was developed to give first responders, hazmat teams and safety personnel an in-depth look at proper training techniques needed when responding to an ethanol-related emergency.
