U.S. Senate passes biodiesel tax-credit extension

The U.S. Senate voted, 62-36, to renew the $1-per-gallon biodiesel tax credit as part of a jobs bill. The National Biodiesel Board is concerned about the credit expiring at year's end, but the bill's final passage cannot come soon enough for the industry, said Michael Frohlich, an NBB executive. The legislation now goes to the House for consolidation.
