Agricultural groups say climate bill would raise costs for farmers:

The Missouri Farm Bureau has joined the American Farm Bureau in opposing a climate-and-energy measure pending in the Senate, saying its proposed cap on carbon emissions would drive up costs of agricultural necessities including fuel and electricity. A report from 19 U.S. scientists, however, warned that worsening climate change will lead to extreme weather conditions that would adversely affect crop yields and grazing-land quality.
