Army adopts policy to integrate active, reserve forces
The Army is pursuing a "total force policy" to integrate active and reserve forces as it prepares to reduce the number of active-duty personnel, Army Secretary John McHugh recently said at the Association of the United States Army's Annual Meeting & Exposition in Washington, D.C. "We've been an operational force for over a decade now, and this effort will ensure that we will incorporate the lessons learned in the last 11 years and make certain that everyone, everyone, is trained and ready regardless of the mission," McHugh said of the policy.
