Cybersecurity bill is approved by the House
The House has voted in favor of the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, which President Barack Obama has said he would veto because of civil-liberties concerns. House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer said the bill is "a significant improvement from what was passed last year." Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., said he would work with other lawmakers for a prompt action on the bill. "There is too much at stake -- our economic and national security -- for Congress to fail to act," Rockefeller said in a statement.
