IT essential for better care, doctor and ex-Kaiser chief says
A recently released report from the Lucian Leape Institute at the National Patient Safety Foundation finds that one of the biggest causes of preventable medical errors is a lack of care coordination, and one of the report's authors says that can't be addressed without health IT systems. "You almost cannot do complex medical care without that kind of connectivity."
