Retailers trade "e-commerce" for "omnichannel"
Consumers aren't ever going to give up brick-and-mortar stores completely, even as they boost their online and mobile shopping -- only about 7% of the $59.1 billion in Black Friday weekend shopping likely stemmed from e-commerce, according to NRF data. The popularity of both physical and digital stores drives the need for retailers to adopt a multi-channel approach that meets customers where they are, says Walmart.com CEO Joel Anderson.
