SIFMA was permitted by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to file a friend-of-the-court brief in appeal of a few municipal bond rulings in the Chapter 9 bankruptcy case of Jefferson County, Ala. SIFMA is particularly concerned about an outcome that would "have seriously detrimental effects on the revenue bond market and on municipalities' access to revenue bond financing," according to the amicus brief.
