Fitch Withdraws Wachovia Mortgage's U.S. RMBS Servicer Rating

NEW YORK-- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Fitch Ratings has withdrawn Wachovia Mortgage FSB's (Wachovia Mortgage) U.S. residential mortgage servicer rating as follows:
--Residential primary servicer rating for prime product 'RPS2'.
The withdrawal is based on the integration of Wachovia Mortgage's servicing portfolio with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (WFHM), a subsidiary of Wells Fargo Corporation (WFC). The transfer was effective Oct. 1, 2009 and involved more than 351,000 loans totaling approximately $70.3 billion. WFC had previously acquired Wachovia Corporation effective Dec. 31, 2008.
The rating action was determined in accordance with Fitch's criteria 'Rating U.S. Residential Mortgage Servicers and Global Rating Criteria for Structured Finance Residential Servicers'.
Fitch rates residential mortgage primary, master, and special servicers on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the highest rating. Within some of these rating levels, Fitch further differentiates ratings by plus (+) and minus (-) as well as the flat rating.
