Calif. fishermen catch octopus normally found near equator
Fishermen caught a female argonaut -- a tropical octopus that lives near the surface of the open ocean near the equator -- off the coast of Southern California this week. The octopus, also known as paper nautilus, is now recuperating at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. The baseball-size animal has huge eyes, eight tentacles and color-changing capabilities.
