High-school students in a Connecticut school district were asked recently to taste-test new menu items to help school nutrition professionals determine what to serve next year. Students tasted samples of omelets, beef strips, hamburgers, cheese pizza dippers and more. The students said that, among other things, they were looking for school meals that were filling and gave them energy.
