CMS to decide on proposed imaging payment cuts soon

CMS is expected to decide as early as today on a proposal to cut by up to 38% Medicare payments to physicians who use medical imaging equipment to diagnose diseases. The Access to Medical Imaging Coalition believes such a proposal would cause a "seismic" effect on the medical imaging sector, said Tim Trysla, the trade group's executive director.
