North Carolina institute aims for the establishment of a cyclotron
The David H. Murdock Research Institute at the North Carolina Research Campus is trying to raise funding from both the private and public sectors for the establishment of a cyclotron that would produce medical isotopes. "There's a real demand for this -- it'll be a national resource," institute President Mike Luther said. The project has the potential to create up to 2,000 jobs.
