Under many a city lurks a decaying infrastructure, and that's what Insituform Technologies takes care of "in situ". The company provides trenchless technologies for rehabilitating sewers, water mains, and industrial pipes, serving municipalities and industrial plants worldwide. Its Insituform CIPP ("cured-in-place pipe") process, the company's largest revenue source, involves installing a custom-manufactured tube or liner that forms a leakproof "pipe within a pipe." The company's Tite Liner process is used to line steel pipe with corrosion-resistant polyethylene pipe. Other rehabilitation processes include the use of thermofusing resin and composite and polyethylene liners.
