The White House has asked Facebook users to select the official 2012 National Thanksgiving Turkey by voting for their favorite of two birds, named Cobbler and Gobbler. The winner will receive the traditional "pardon" from President Barack Obama, although officials say they won't cook the loser. Instead, both birds will be sent into retirement at Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens.
