Retailers slow to promote social presence via e-mail
Though many online retailers have a social-media presence, few promote it in their e-mail marketing or Web site, a recent study found. Instead, the companies are more likely to include a store-locator tool. Social-media links in e-mails are on the rise, however, and were included in 20% of the marketing e-mails sent in July, the study found.
