Fashion companies take cues from Twitter followers
Fashion designers and retailers are using feedback from Twitter fans to adjust their offerings and promotions in real time. Marc Jacobs' CEO personally pledged to oversee the rollout of plus-size clothing after Twitter users campaigned for larger sizes, and Ann Taylor's LOFT brand responded to tweeted complaints about its stick-thin models by launching a Facebook page showing real-life store employees wearing its clothes in sizes 2 to 12. "We've a learned a lot by dialoguing with our customer this way," said Ann Taylor CEO Kay Krill.
