Study: Technology makes us more social, not less
Social and mobile technologies are enhancing people's social lives, not isolating them, a Pew study has found. Americans actually communicated more, and with a greater diversity of people, when they used the Internet and cell phones. The findings "challenge previous research and commonplace fears about the harmful social impact of new technology," note the study's authors.
