Carbon emissions are at a record high, scientists say
Global carbon dioxide emissions are at an all-time high, scientists reported at the U.N. Doha climate convention. That shows the need for swift and substantive action from world leaders, said U.N. climate chief Christiana Figueres, the convention's executive secretary. "Governments have to find ways in which action on the ground can be accelerated and taken to a higher level, because that is absolutely needed," she said.
