Dal-Tile International never fails to floor its customers: A subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, the company is the US's largest and best-known maker of ceramic tile. Dal-Tile -- which sells its floor, wall, quarry, and mosaic tiles under the Daltile, Mohawk, and American Olean brand names -- manufactures ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles at eight plants in the US and Mexico and sells them through more than 250 company-operated sales service centers in the US and Canada, and through independent distributors and retailers such as The Home Depot and Lowe's. Customers include architects, builders, developers, and homeowners.
