Two parties back Netanyahu as Israel prime minister
Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu has the backing of the Yisrael Beitenu and Shahs parties to form Israel's next government if he can win over Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni's Kadima Party, which has a one-seat lead over Likud. "Netanyahu will be prime minister, but it will be a Netanyahu-Livni government," said Avigdor Lieberman of the third-largest Yisrael Beitenu party.
