T-Mobile (UK) boasts about 17 million customers for its wireless telephone network. A subsidiary of Germany's Deutsche Telekom, its core services are voice calling and text messaging in the UK, as well as international calling. T-Mobile (UK) also has about half a million subscribers to its mobile Internet services which include email, Web browsing, and video. It sells primarily to consumers both online and through retail shops located throughout the UK. Along with affiliates in Germany and Poland, T-Mobile (UK) is one of its parent's largest European wireless businesses. Formerly a subsidiary of T-Mobile International, the company became a direct subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom following a 2009 restructuring.
