Established in 1975, Gulf International Bank is one of the Middle East's top merchant banks with a focus on the oil and gas industry. It offers treasury services (capital markets products, proprietary investments); merchant banking (commercial financing, financial advisory); and financial markets services (asset and fund management). Major customers include large corporations, and financial institutions with operations in the Persian Gulf region. Six Gulf Cooperation Council governments own more than 70% of the bank; the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency controls the rest.
