Operators vie for Singapore broadband network

Twelve companies and consortium have thrown their hats in the ring and pre-qualified as bidders to construct an island-wide broadband network in Singapore. Nippon Telegraph & Telephone and Siemens AG are among the individual bidders, while consortium participants include SingTel, MobileOne, Cisco Systems and Alcatel-Lucent.
