Think tank chief: Broadband is "critical to the future of our economy"
ISPs should be paid for signing up broadband subscribers in economically deprived regions of the U.S., a tech-oriented think tank suggested in a report, terming the program one of several options to increase consumer demand for broadband services. The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation says it is vital to the U.S. economy to boost demand for broadband.
