FiOS, satellite trigger cable deregulation

FCC orders issued Wednesday uncapped basic cable fees in two New York communities serviced by Cablevision, in anticipation of competition from fiber-optic video services from Verizon. The FCC also issued orders deregulating communities in Michigan and California based on satellite competition.
