Motorola lowers Q4 guidance, maintains long-term outlook

Motorola blamed an "unfavorable geographical and product-tier mix of sales" in its mobile-device segment for lowering its forecast for fourth-quarter earnings. Although Motorola plans to discuss ways to boost its profitability, the device maker is sticking with its long-term financial predictions.
