Study: Customers unaware of mobile-number portability

Mobile consumers lack awareness of mobile-number portability, according to a report from telecom advisory firm Analysys. MNP can be a major benefit to mobile operators, Analysys said, but most major carriers no longer advertise the option because relatively few consumers took advantage of MNP when it was introduced in 2003.
