Satellite mergers face antitrust scrutiny

With XM Satellite and Sirius Satellite Radio considering a merger, perhaps they might want to take note of the antitrust issues that arose the last time two satellite giants tried to merge. The 2001 deal between EchoStar Communications and DirecTV ultimately collapsed over antitrust issues.
