Virginia Tech installs emergency-notification system

Virginia Tech, which was the site of a lone gunman attack in April 2007 that took 32 lives, is starting its school year out with an installed mass-emergency-notification system, which includes 220 text-message displays in the school's general-purpose classrooms and large lecture halls. The system is being supplied by Inova Solutions.
