AT&T invests in IP network expansion

AT&T intends to spend $750 million this year to extend the reach of its global IP network, which is twice as much as the company spent in 2006. The money is earmarked to expand AT&T's MPLS and DSL networks, as well as increase its IP VPN capabilities on a global basis.
