Internet marks 40 years since "lo"
UCLA professor Leonard Kleinrock helped revolutionize modern communications when he sent the first electronic message between two computers 40 years ago this week. The system crashed midtrial, and only the first two letters of Kleinrock's message of "login" reached the destination.
