Verizon gains approval to enter Rhode Island
Rhode Island's Division of Public Utilities and Carriers granted its final approval to Verizon Communications to start offering its FiOS TV service in the state. It's the first time a new company has entered the state's video market in more than 20 years. Verizon will compete with Cox Communications for customers in the state.
