Verizon Wireless sues "autodialer" telemarketers
Verizon Wireless has filed suit against unknown telemarketers in New Jersey state court for illegally using an "autodialer" that makes calls from certain numbers. Verizon Wireless said more than 1 million illegal calls were made to its customers in March.
