TelCentris, once Skype rival, enters CLEC field
TelCentris has won regulatory approval in five states to begin operating as a CLEC -- competitive local exchange carrier -- based on experience and facilities the company obtained trying to compete against Skype with its VoxOx service. The CLEC is counting on its home-built service-delivery platform to save costs. "That's our competitive differentiator. We can pass those cost savings on to our customers," said CEO Bryan Hertz.
