Qwest, Level 3 eye potential of fiber-based wireless backhaul
Qwest Communications and Level 3 Communications are seriously studying the economic potential of fiber-based wireless-backhaul services. One analyst quoted in this report said providers saw Level 3 as a strong contender in the space: "We keep hearing from carriers that they'd welcome an independent backhaul provider," the analyst said. "No one's stepping into that market aggressively."
