Pay gap between big and small employers is widening, study finds
Workers at small firms earned 66% of what counterparts at large firms earned in 2011, according to a study by the Kauffman Foundation. In 2001, workers at small firms earned 78% of the salaries paid to employees at large firms. The widening wage gap means small employers will have a more difficult time competing for talent, some experts say.
