Gastric-bypass patients seek discounted restaurant meals
Some patients who have had gastric-bypass operations are being given wallet-sized cards on which their surgeons certify that they received the stomach-shrinking surgical procedure. The idea is that presenting the card ought to win the patient the right to order off the children's menu in restaurants or receive discounts at all-you-can-eat venues.
