A grant offering professional development for teachers wanting to bring differentiated instruction into their classroom, plus free webcasts on open-education resources and using blended learning to boost reading are among the featured tools in this month’s Tech Showcase.

Grant supports differentiated instruction

K-12 teachers can apply for Naiku’s Innovative Educator Grant, which offers professional development and assessment software to help teachers implement differentiated instruction in their classroom. The company will review applications on a rolling basis through September 30, 2017.

PD course supports literacy instruction

Voyager Sopris Learning has launched a professional-development course, called LETRS, for literacy instructors. The course aims to help teachers identify and address students’ areas of struggle plus create a strategy for meeting Common Core Standards, among other objectives.

Promethean debuts ClassFlow Desktop

Promethean has launched a new version of its ClassFlow platform called ClassFlow Desktop. The platform, which works online and off-line, lets teachers create interactive activities, record audio and video, and deliver quizzes and polls, among other features.

Webinar to discuss myths, resources for OER

Two education experts discuss open-education resources in this free on-demand webcast, moderated by Education Week.
