Seasoned technology veteran joins growing team, with a keen eye on the future
Washington, D.C., April 2, 2013 – SmartBrief, Inc., the leading online publisher of targeted content for business professionals, announced today the appointment of Vineet Mahajan as the company’s Chief Technology Officer.
A seasoned executive with nearly fifteen years of experience in software engineering and architecture, product development, technical operations, and applied research, Mr. Mahajan brings SmartBrief a unique combination of hands-on expertise, leadership, and vision.

A skilled leader with experience building and managing multi-disciplined and geographically dispersed teams, most recently Mr. Mahajan was Vice President, Technology for AOL. In addition to responsibility for all aspects of technology strategy, he served as interim CTO for The Huffington Post. Mr. Mahajan earned a Bachelors of Engineering degree at Punjab Engineering College, as well as a Masters of Science degree from the University of Georgia.
As SmartBrief CTO, Mr. Mahajan will be responsible for the development of new technology solutions and products for SmartBrief’s audiences, as well as for the ongoing operation and improvement of its existing software systems.
