A new study by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) suggests that an increasing number of public schools are offering after-school activities. Two-thirds of the schools surveyed by NAESP offer an after-school option, and nearly six of every 10 said their program had been running for five years or less. The association said the results reflect a growing pressure on schools to do more academically and socially for children.
