Librarians who aggressively filter Internet content often come under fire from civil liberties advocates, while librarians who filter too loosely may put children at risk of stumbling across objectionable Web sites, a report says. Public libraries aren't required by law to install filters, but many librarians are said to face pressure to do so from anti-pornography groups and parents.
