The Interactive Advertising Bureau, an industry trade group with members such as MSN, Yahoo and AOL, has endorsed a new set of standard-sized display ads. "The Junction Boys," the sports network's second original movie, ranked a 3.46 household rating for its Dec. 14 premiere. ESPN President George Bodenheimer said the rating was a sign that viewers will watch ESPN-produced originals.
MTV Networks is urging the television industry to report joint broadcast and cable TV ratings on one top 30 list, possibly signaling a change in the industry as more cable shows outpace broadcast. Some suggest a bigger list of perhaps 50 or 100 might provide a better index.
National Geographic and Speedvision, both part of Fox Cable, have reached separate deals with Cable One for digital carriage, a report says. Separately, Fox Sports Digital Nets has reached a carriage deal with the National Cable Television Cooperative.
