The animated series is based on Bill Cosby's 1986 book "Fatherhood" and will star David Alan Grier as the voice of the main character. Cosby is to executive produce the series with Charles Kipps and David Brokaw.
Barry Diller said raising the 35% cap on media ownership isn't a good idea. Diller said the five biggest media companies are "on the verge of controlling the same number of households as the Big Three did 40 years ago."
Coca-Cola has signed a $15 million partnership with the fledgling College Sports Television digital cable network. The deal, which will include joint advertising and TV program development, is "consistent with our long-term support of college sports, student-athletes and the NCAA," said Chuck Fruit, Coke's SVP of worldwide media.
UPN has agreed to pay World Wrestling Entertainment less than $500,000 a week to continue airing "WWE Smackdown" on Thursday nights. As part of the deal, UPN will sell advertising time for the show and pick up rights to four WWE specials.
